Fields
Is this Heaven? No. It’s IOWA!
The Muscatine Soccer Complex is a $4.5 million-dollar world-class
facility with superbly landscaped grounds and eight, professionally
maintained soccer fields (average size 80 X 120 yards) built
in 1993. The National Sports Turf Managers Association recognized
this outstanding facility as the Soccer Fields of the Year
in the U.S. in 1995 again in 2002. The turf is a cool-season
grass,
which is a mixture of elite Kentucky Blue grass and Perennial
Ryegrass cultivars. All of the fields are watered by an underground,
automatic irrigation system. Fields 3&4 have a sand-based
root zone. The other fields have a native silty-clay-loam
root zone.
Major soccer tournaments commonly highlight local tourist
attractions to draw teams to their events. College Search Kickoff has no beach, no zoo and no Mickey Mouse. Just great soccer plus some BAADASSSSSgrass. Come and experience
our CSK Field of Dreams.
