Priority
is given to the highest-level travel and club teams
that compete in national competitions and to high-level
club teams that are competitive within their geographic
regions. This mixture of teams combined
with our virtually unlimited guest player policy provides
more recruiting opportunities for more players than
other showcase events.
CSK teams
are matched for competition within bracket based on
their level of play and their win-tie-loss record. Our goal is to provide good competition in
every game. For example, in a typical tournament with
a four-bracket division, the tournament director will
often “seed” each of the top four teams
in a separate bracket. At CSK, these four teams would
be scheduled to play each other. College coaches do
not want to watch miss-matched “blowout”
games. Players can best be evaluated against well—matched
opponents. Competitive level is the most important
consideration in bracketing. All teams are bracketed as U19.
